What is National Estate Planning Week?

National Estate Planning Awareness Week was a movement by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) and 50 members of the House of Representatives. In September 2008, Congress passed a bill which designated the third week in October as a week for assisting the public in understanding the importance and benefits of estate planning, as well as the consequences of not having a plan. That's it folks, even the government recognizes the HUGE importance of planning!
